You’ve seen the videos from college campuses, the military, firefighters to the Peanuts gang, Homer Simpson, and the Miami Heat. The Harlem Shake is everywhere. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a Harlem Shake viral video, now is your chance!

Anaheim GardenWalk and Taste of Anaheim are partnering to create Anaheim’s version of the Harlem Shake. And, we want YOU and the entire Anaheim community to join us and be part of the FUN.

    Registration, call time, staging at 8:00 am
    Filming begins at 9:00 am
    Filming will take about 1-2 hours total. Please allow extra time if your group would like to be featured in the “dance-off” filming.

How to Participate

  • Attire / Costumes

    Wear bright colors, uniform, costume, or an outfit that represents your group, organization, workplace, etc. *Important: Please avoid wearing major visible logos unless it has been approved by your employer or organization.

  • Spread The Word

    Tell all of your friends, family, co-workers, etc.! Use #tasteanaheim and #anaheimharlemshake in your posts.

  • Filming on April 27, 2013

    Meet in the Gala Garden at Anaheim GardenWalk at 8:00 AM. Visit the Registration Table on the Main Level next to the Concierge Desk for:
    • Registration release form must be signed to participate. If you pre-registered online, no need to sign a form.
    • Pick up a parking validation ticket and a VIP Pass with shopping, dining, and entertainment discounts.
    • Get your location assignment and placement. (Insert information about wristbands, colors, etc.)

    PARTICIPANT WAIVER AND RELEASE
  • I, the undersigned, do hereby confirm that I have agreed to participate in the Anaheim Harlem Shake (the “Event”) at the Anaheim GardenWalk, located at 321 Katella Avenue, Anaheim, California (the “Premises”).
  • In consideration of the owner of the Premises, Anaheim Capital Partners LLC, dba Anaheim Retail Partners LLC (the “Company”), allowing me to participate in the Event at the Premises, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, I represent, acknowledge and agree as follow:
  • I understand the nature of the Event, and I am qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate in such activity. I will comply with all of the rules and directions relating to the Event, and if I believe the Event conditions are unsafe for me in any manner, I will immediately discontinue participation in the Event.
  • I fully understand that this Event could involve risks of serious bodily injury, including permanent disability, paralysis and death, which may be caused by my own actions, or inactions, those of others participating in the Event, the conditions in which the Event takes place, or the negligence of the "Releasees" named below, and that there may be other risks either not known to me or not readily foreseeable at this time. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of Releasees or others, and I assume full responsibility for my participation in the Event.
  • I hereby release, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Company and its agents, successors, assigns, affiliates, subsidiary and parent corporations, licensees, employees, officers, and directors (collectively, the “Releasees”) from all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action or suits of any kind or nature whatsoever, which I now have or may hereafter have, arising out of the Event. Further if, despite my release and waiver of liability and assumption of risk, I or anyone on my behalf makes a claim against any of the Releasees, I will indemnify, save, and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including attorneys’ fees, which the Releasees incur as the result of such claim.
  • I have read this Release, understand I am giving up substantial rights by signing it, and have signed it freely and without any inducement, coercion, or assurance of any nature, intending it be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extend allowed by law. If any portion of this Release is held to be invalid, the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue in full force and effect.
  • I further certify that I am over eighteen years of age (or my parent or guardian has signed below), and that I have read, understood, and agreed to the foregoing.
    APPEARANCE RELEASE
  • I, the undersigned, do hereby confirm that I have agreed to be filmed, photographed and/or otherwise recorded in connection with the Anaheim Harlem Shake (the “Event”) being filmed at the Anaheim GardenWalk, located at 321 Katella Avenue, Anaheim, California (the “Premises”), by Purry Communications Group (“Purry”) for the owner of the Premises, Anaheim Capital Partners LLC, dba Anaheim Retail Partners LLC (the “Company”).
  • In consideration of the Company allowing me to participate in the Event at the Premises, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, I grant to the Company, its successors, assigns and licensees the irrevocable right, in perpetuity, to use in any manner as the Company desires, for any and all purposes, all audio, video, still and motion pictures which may be made of me at the Event (collectively, the “Footage”). The Footage may be exploited worldwide, in perpetuity and in any and all media now or hereafter devised. I agree I shall receive no monetary compensation for my participation in the Event or appearance in the Footage, or from any exploitation of the Footage. The Footage may be edited and otherwise altered at the sole discretion of the Company. The Company has no obligation to use the Footage at all or in any particular manner, and it may be used in whole or in part.
  • I hereby release, waive, and forever discharge any and all claims or demands of any nature including, but not limited to negligence, personal injury, libel, slander, defamation, invasion of privacy or right of publicity, false light, or copyright or trademark violation, which I may now have or may in the future have against the Company and its agents (including Purry), successors, assigns, affiliates, subsidiary and parent corporations, licensees, employees, officers, and directors (collectively, the “Releasees”), arising from the Event or the telecast, internet broadcast, posting, exhibition, or other exploitation of the Footage.
  • I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees against any liability, loss or damage (including reasonable attorney's fees), arising from my participation in the Event and appearance in the Footage, including without limitation for any utterance or action made by me or furnished by me in connection therewith. I further certify that I am over eighteen years of age (or my parent or guardian has signed below), and that I have read, understood, and agreed to the foregoing.
